WHAT WE CANNOT DO:
- Speed up your divorce: In California, a divorce is officially started when you file a petition for divorce in court. It helps to remember that there is a 6-month plus one day waiting period from the time your spouse is served with the Petition before your divorce can be finalized. This is the earliest you can be considered legally divorced. This is also the earliest either you or your spouse can remarry. Assuming you and your spouse agree on everything.
- Control the Court’s Calendar: We have no control over when hearings are set or whether a court will continue a hearing on its own motion. As attorney’s we strive to get the earliest hearing dates from the court as possible. However, there is no guarantee that a hearing will be set within 30-60 days.
- Guarantee an Outcome: We will prepare all of our arguments and facts so that you have an excellent chance of success. However, your attorney cannot guarantee what a Judge will do in court.
