Laura Kahler is an Associate Attorney in the Modesto office of
Borton Petrini, LLP. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, with an
emphasis on insurance defense. She represents insured clients in a
variety of matters and works closely with insurance carriers
throughout all stages of litigation.
Prior to joining Borton Petrini, LLP, Laura’s practice centered on
estate planning and trust administration, where she helped clients
navigate an often-confusing process with clear, practical guidance.
During law school, Laura gained experience at a San Francisco law
firm representing landlords in complex local regulatory matters.
Laura earned her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law,
where she graduated in the top 15% of her class and served as an
editor of the Environmental Law Journal. She earned her
undergraduate degree from Sonoma State University.
Outside of the office, Laura serves on the Board of Stanislaus
County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), supporting
youth in the foster care system.
