Lily D. Blake

Lily D. Blake is a Civil Litigation Trial Attorney in the Fresno Office of Borton Petrini, LLP. Lily Received her undergraduate degree in Sociology, with an emphasis on Law and Society, from the University of California at Davis in 1997. While at UC Davis, Lily was a member of ΑΦΏ, a Community Service Co-Ed Fraternity. Lily then attended Santa Clara University School of Law where she was a Deans List Honors Student, in the top of her class. While at Santa Clara University school of law, Lily was a member of ΦΔΦ, a Legal Honors Fraternity, and was admitted to the California State Bar in 2002.

Lily has over 20 years of civil litigation experience, focusing in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury, automobile/trucking liability, premises liability, habitability, professional liability, attorney malpractice, general liability, products liability, insurance coverage [primarily in the construction defect arena in relation to additional insured matters], insurance bad faith and construction defects. Lily has both Bench and Jury Trial experience, as well as UM/UIM Arbitration experience. Lily’s numerous Trials and Arbitrations have resulted in nonsuits, defense verdicts, and successful verdicts and Arbitration outcomes.

During her 20 plus years of legal experience, Lily has worked for large national and international law firms, small law firms, and as staff counsel. Lily’s practice has been varied and has allowed her to practice in venues as far north as Siskiyou County and as far south as San Diego County. Prior to joining Borton Petrini, LLP, Lily worked in-house as a Trial Attorney for over nine years, providing insurance defense services to mainly central valley insureds/clients for cases, including, but not limited to, personal injury automobile accidents, dog bites, premises liability and subrogation defense.

Lily’s community service activities include volunteering at the Fresno State University Student Cupboard, which provides free food and hygiene packs to Fresno State Students to help combat food insecurities; and working the crisis lines for Domestic Violence Survivors. Lily was previously a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor working directly at a Battered Women’s Shelter.

Lily is a Mom to a rambunctious school aged son, Colton, who keeps her on her toes. In her spare time, Lily enjoys reading, watching movies, spending time with her son and family, and traveling. Lily and Colton are both huge Disney fans and love going to Disneyland and California Adventure.
