Alyssa Thompson is a partner in our Modesto office of Borton Petrini, LLP. She currently practices family law and bankruptcy. She has prior experience in multiple areas of law including public entity defense, civil litigation, personal injury, employment law, criminal defense and probate and estate planning. As an undergraduate, Ms. Thompson attended UC San Diego where she received her Bachelor of Arts in political science with a concentration in public law. She went on to attend McGeorge School of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate.
During undergrad, Ms. Thompson interned for State Legislator Joel Anderson in San Diego, CA where she gained insight as to the California legislative process and served the San Diego community. She has been a member of the Stanislaus Chapter of California Women for Agriculture since 2018. She has attended legislative visits with California Women for Agriculture to address California laws impacting our local agricultural community.
Ms. Thompson spends her free time with her husband and their three boys. Her family is dedicated to serving their community. Ms. Thompson serves as the Secretary on her church board, serves as the Nursery Director and volunteers in the youth ministry. She has coached numerous youth sports teams including cheerleading, soccer, t-ball and baseball. She has since shifted her focus to supporting youth teams as team mom, alongside her husband who coaches various teams for their 3 children and serves as a board member for their local Little League. When that did not keep them busy enough, they stepped in as leaders of various groups within their 4H chapter. Together with their church and 4H group, they spend several hours a month volunteering with local organizations and giving back to their community.
