Stevie Jo McDonald is an associate attorney in the Bakersfield office of Borton Petrini, LLP. She received her double Bachelor of Art’s Degree in History and Philosophy in 2007 from the University of California Santa Cruz. Upon graduation, she attended Roger Williams University School of Law, Bristol Rhode Island. During her second year, Stevie co-founded the Family Law Society holding the office of Vice President and Treasurer. Stevie received her Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2011. She is admitted to practice in the state of California.
At the Firm, Stevie’s focus practice areas are estate planning and family law. As an estate law attorney, Stevie assists clients in drafting their living trusts, wills, health care directives, durable power of attorney, and property transfers. Additionally, she handles probate and trust administration.
As a family law attorney, Stevie represents clients in dissolution proceedings, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, guardianships, and domestic violence restraining orders. She has over 50 hours of advanced mediation training and has successfully mediated complex child visitation schedules and property division pertaining to divorce proceedings.
In her free time, Stevie loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys outdoor activities, sports, and playing with her two small children.
Stevie is married to Mike McDonald and they have two handsome boys, Nathan and Maverick.
