Jonathan Kwan is an associate attorney in the Bakersfield office of Borton Petrini, LLP. Jonathan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California in 2005, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Print Journalism. He attended the University of Arkansas School of Law, at Fayetteville on an academic scholarship and received his Juris Doctorate in 2008, graduating with distinction.
While in law school, Jonathan was a judicial extern to the Senior District Court Judge for the Western District of Arkansas and accepted a position at the university as a legal research attorney to the law school dean. He is admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts for the Central and Eastern Districts of California and is a member of the California State Bar.
Jonathan is an experienced litigation attorney, having represented clients in bench and jury trials for a variety of matters. His interests and areas of practice include: family law, bankruptcy law, business collection matters, civil litigation, construction law, insurance law, personal injury, real estate law, and unlawful detainers.
Jonathan practices family law in Kern County. He represents clients in dissolution proceedings, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, guardianships and domestic violence restraining orders.
Jonathan strives to provide an open line of communication with all of his clients for an efficient and aggressive approach to representation.
In his free time, Jonathan enjoys traveling, golfing and spending time with his family.
