Elizabeth E. Waldow is a partner in the Fresno office of Borton Petrini, LLP.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from George Mason University.  Her subsequent career with the National Park Service included responsibility as a resource management specialist and federal law enforcement ranger.  Yosemite National Park designated her as the prosecuting officer for the Park’s misdemeanor cases and she served in that capacity from 2005 through 2008.  Ms. Waldow managed the Park’s criminal cases and tried approximately twenty cases before a federal magistrate.  During that time, she began law school at San Joaquin College of Law.


During law school, Ms. Waldow accepted a position with a business law firm as a law clerk.  She prepared motions, adversary proceedings, and bankruptcy documents on behalf of both debtor and creditor clients in Chapters 7, 9, 11, and 12 proceedings.  Continuing to work full time, she graduated from law school with distinction in 2009 and passed the California Bar the same year.  Thereafter, Ms. Waldow represented agricultural and business clients in both state court civil litigation and federal bankruptcy court proceedings.  She also acquired substantial civil litigation experience while representing clients in professional practice and insurance defense from 2011 until 2013.


Ms. Waldow has a general civil litigation practice at Borton Petrini, LLP, including insurance defense and medical malpractice defense as well as business bankruptcy, bankruptcy court adversary proceedings, and creditor representation.


As an active member of the San Joaquin College of Law Alumni Board, Ms. Waldow coordinates the law school’s annual Senior Law Day providing legal services such as simple wills, medical directives, and preventative information regarding identity theft and Elder Abuse.  Ms. Waldow contributes to her community as a Rotarian and gives of her time and resources to Rotary’s local, national, and international goals.


Elizabeth Waldow is married to Kevin Cann and they have three children together.  She spends her free time with family and friends enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking and camping.
