Marissa M. Nebenzahl

Marissa M. Nebenzahl is an Associate in the San Francisco office of Borton Petrini, LLP. She did her undergraduate work at the University of California, San Diego where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Economics and Management Science, and received her J.D. degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2007. Ms. Nebenzahl specializes in business and construction litigation, products liability, and real estate.

Marissa relies on her business and management background to assist in building a successful legal career. She strongly believes that the art of interpersonal communication, a skill which is so often stressed in the business realm, is just as vital to the successful practice of law. In addition to competent legal representation, she strives to provide her clients with outstanding communication and customer service.

Prior to coming to Borton Petrini, LLP, Ms. Nebenzahl was highly involved in pro bono activities during law school. Marissa was a summer intern with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, an organization providing free and low cost legal services for low-income individuals. She also served as Vice Chairperson of the USD Pro Bono Legal Advocates AIDS Clinic during 2005 and 2006, a clinic providing low-income individuals who have been diagnosed with AIDS or HIV with access to free legal assistance in areas such as estate planning, landlord/tenant and bankruptcy issues, wrongful disclosures, and issues with government healthcare benefits. Ms. Nebenzahl was recognized for her pro bono efforts, and in 2006 was awarded the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program Distinguished Service Award for volunteering over 150 hours in 2005.

Marissa was born and raised in the Bay Area, and looks forward to building her legal practice in Northern California.
