Michelle M. “Mikee” Gildea is a San Rafael lawyer in the office of Borton Petrini, LLP. Mikee graduated from the University of San Francisco in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She received her Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law in 1995.

While attending Howard University School of Law, Mikee was an editor of the Howard Law Journal and earned multiple American Jurisprudence Awards. She was a research assistant to Professor Andrew E. Taslitz, and is credited in many of his published works. Mikee was a member of the Howard University Honor Society.

Mikee’s legal practice as a San Rafael lawyer has provided her with a depth of knowledge in a wide range of practice areas. She successfully assisted in prosecution of a complex capital case and has handled dozens of criminal jury trials ranging from dog bites to violent crimes.

She has provided legal counsel in civil litigation, including complex asbestos litigation. Mikee has also provided legal assistance to children with education disabilities.

In her spare time, Mikee actively volunteers with her children’s schools, including serving as Parents’ Association President for several years. Mikee also enjoys running, watching her beloved Giants and 49ers, and volunteering annually with the Haley Mock Trial competition.

Mikee is married to Sean P. Beatty, and they have three children, Maggie, Jackie, and Finnegan.
